Introduction
Hello - I am a born-again folkie, meaning that I was raised on folk music, left the fold and recently returned. Anyway, the winding path leads to this meetup and I'm looking forward to meeting... up, with you-all.

  •  Hi, Laurie! It was, as usual, great to see you at the book club meeting. I hope someday we will be able to actually have a conversation that will not be interrupted by rain, 15 people strongly expressing their points of view, or other acts of God. You're a good 'un.

  •  Hi Laurie, That's very cool about your studying African dance and drums with Baba. My teacher Sanga played with Baba for many years (and does a very funny impression of him). Check out this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=VT2J1Ot9N5... . That's Sanga on the right (Baba's left). I'm not sure when this is from; Sanga just turned 50. So, are you sure it was Brooklyn and not Franklin Square that led you to African culture? Looking forward to talking with you in the new year. Rob
